From educational documentaries to current feature films, watching a movie at the IMAX® Theatre is a great way to enjoy an afternoon or evening. IMAX® offers the best in visual clarity, size of screen, and audio experience. Note that you can go see a movie at the IMAX® without paying full MOSI admission prices. See the MOSI Florida Hospital DOME IMAX® schedule for what’s currently playing.
See the Tampa night sky from a state-of-the-art projection screen at all times of the day. According to MOSI, the projection system is able to show you pictures of the sky “from any time in less than 20 seconds from the past, present, and future from anywhere on the planet!” After the sun goes down, you can also venture outside to use the MOSI telescopes to look into space. (Note that clear skies are required for telescope use.)
A new feature at MOSI, the Imagination Playground is a place where kids can go and stretch their creative and engineering abilities. They get the opportunity to create anything from robots to castles using specially designed blocks of varying shapes and sizes.
These attractions are just a few of the exhibits at Tampa’s MOSI. You can check out the MOSI website for full details, admission prices, hours of operation, and exhibit listing.
