The Lowry Park Zoo is one of Tampa’s top attractions, and rightly so. It’s received countless awards and recognition for being one of the nation’s top zoos. If you plan to visit the zoo when in Tampa, be sure to also check out whether your visit coincides with one of their great seasonal events in 2016.
July: Sunset Celebration
On Friday and Saturday evenings from July 8 until August 6, you and your family can enjoy the zoo at sunset. Check out the animal exhibits; enjoy dining options, craft beer, and cool drinks; and stick around for the laser light show to cap the night off.
October: Creatures of the Night
This special October event centers around a Halloween adventure for the whole family. Zoo staff will recreate many of the animal exhibits and even have new activities aimed to be a little creepy and a lot of fun. This event is family-friendly (no gore) and is a great way to enjoy the season.
November: Feasts with the Beasts
This event is celebrating its 30th year, and you will not be disappointed. Feasts with Beasts is an all-inclusive dining event at the zoo where you can sample foods and beverages from multiple area restaurants. Plus, the zoo will also have live music and other entertainment to make it a night to remember.
December: Christmas in the Wild
If you attend one Tampa event around the holiday season, consider making it Christmas in the Wild. In addition to the animal exhibits, you can enjoy light displays, visit with Santa, check out goods from local artisans, and make a stop at the Christmas Lodge. This event is a fun and merry way to kick off the holidays right.
